Revised Fee Structure

Dear Parents,

Hope you all had a safe and happy Puja.

As you are aware even in these troubled times the school has made consistent and untiring efforts to reach out to all students for their holistic development.  Our teachers have also continued to technologically upgrade themselves so that they can deliver quality education to all our students through the online mode.

We, at Shaw Public School, maintain a very cordial and healthy relationship with the parents of our students whom we consider a part of our family.  We, therefore, take this opportunity to sincerely thank and appreciate all those parents who have been supporting the school steadfastly by paying regular fees. This has also enabled the school to extend support and grant concessions to parents who are in financial distress so that all our students are able to receive education.  Many students have, in fact, already received concession from school which is not just 20% but much more.

Below please find the revised fees structure for the different levels of the school calculated on a monthly basis.  It does not include Laboratory, Library and Computer charges.

  1. This fee structure is as per the Kolkata High Court Order dated 13th October, 2020.
  1. Fees collected earlier for the year 2020-2021, if any, shall be adjusted by the end of this academic session.
  1. The fees payable as per the Kolkata High Court Order for the period upto 30th November, 2020, need to be tendered on behalf of all students by November 30, 2020, as directed by Kolkata High Court.
  1. As per Court directive, parents are requested not to avail of the reduction in fees, if their financial situation does not merit the reduction. In that case, a mail to the school ID to be sent (mentioning the name of the student, class and section).  This will help the school to honour its financial obligations.

Revised Fee Structure for 2020-2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Due to the Pandemic COVID-19, the School Management has revised the fee structure.  The revised fee structure applicable from the month of August, 2020, till further notice, is as follows :

  1. 100% waiver of Computer Fee.
  2. 100% waiver of Library Fee.
  3. 100% waiver of Laboratory Fees.

 

This waiver is in addition to the previous revision whereby the School Management had announced a roll back of school fees of the academic year 2020-2021 to that equivalent of what was charged in the previous year, 2019-2020.

Further, to mitigate any hardship, the school fee can now be paid on a monthly basis till further notice.

Thank you for your understanding.  By the grace of Almighty we will soon overcome this situation and resume normalcy in our lives.

Report Card Distribution

Normal classes will be held on Thursday, 24th October, 2019.  No classes will be held on Friday, 25th October, 2019.

 

Half Yearly Report Card Distribution will be held on Friday, 25th October, 2019 for Classes I to XII.

 

The School will remain closed from Saturday, 26th October, 2019 till Wednesday, 30th October, 2019.  Normal classes will resume from Thursday, 31st October, 2019.

Examination System for 2019-2020 for Classes LOWER NURSERY – IV

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Outlined below is the examination system to be followed for the session 2019-2020 :

 

LOWER NURSERY, UPPER NURSERY, KINDERGARTEN

 

There will be no formal examination.  All assessments will be a part of a continuous process based on worksheets and other oral/written work done in class throughout the year.

 

Class teachers may be consulted for clarifications, if any, on the day of the Parent/Teacher interaction.

CLASS I

 

Terminal Examination (Half Yearly & Annual) of 50 marks will be held in English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, EVS and 2nd Language (Hindi/Bengali). For these subjects the total will be acquired by adding 50 marks of Terminal Examination and 50 marks of class assessments which will equal to 100 marks.

 

Each Examination will be divided as follows :

 

Class Assessments                 :                       15 x 2  =          30 marks

Project Work                            :                                   =          10 marks

Class work/Home work                                               =          10 marks

 

Total                                                                                        50 marks

 

Terminal Examination                                                            50 marks

 

The Report Card will reflect 50 + 50 = 100 marks

 

For the rest of the subjects (Spelling/Dictation & Computer) it will be continuous evaluation of 50 marks which will be doubled to 100 marks.  Subjects that will be graded are Reading, Handwriting, Elocution, Value Education Art & Craft, Games, Music and Dance.

 

Class Teachers may be consulted for clarifications, if any, on the day of the Parent/Teacher interaction.

 

PLEASE NOTE  :

Written work set as Class work and Home work will be assessed regularly by the teachers and marks will be allotted for the same.

Pass marks for all subjects from Classes I to IX will be 45%.
